after one year...

Ok, what can I say after this first year? Я очень рад, ведь я, наконец, возвращаюсь домой, so true for us!
Lots of things happened, I changed my work, we changed our place to live, we met new people, so the old ghosts are gone and the new life took place. My Russian language made great progress, though it is far from perfect and full of mistakes. I discovered that our culture is closer than people usually think (we live in Europe), even the language has lots of same words, but differently pronounced. My Baby adjusted pretty well, the only big sorrow she has is: I have no language!! But she starts to understand even dialect and I am sure one day she speaks perfectly!

Would I do this whole process again? Definately YES! I have fond memories of my first trip and visit alone to Siberia, though not a success womanwise, but the best trip I ever made, like an unusual adventure. I only can encourage all who think about such simply to do it. As I met my Baby, I knew, completely unexpected, she's the one - that's the key point btw.

Hello Caddy, first would like to say congratulations.  Always good to hear of success stories.

As I recall you found a lady very close to your own age and not some young Rus/Ukr woman 20 years younger than yourself.  Most men who find a Rus/Ukr woman close to their own age seem to have happy, healthy marriages.  Unfortunately most foreign men believe that these Rus/Ukr ladies want much older men.
