Hello everyone.
I was recently contacted by a young woman from Pakistan named Kiran who asked for my help. She is in the process of a divorce with Pakistani husband. To make the story short I will just hit the highlights.
He brings her over on a K-3 visa.
Him and his mother (they live together) keep Kiran as a domestic servant. No phone, internet, any friends for her so on. No intimate relationship with her what so ever. The last part bothers her the most because she wants children.*
Things were tense around the house.
Though she was here "1.3 years" he never bothered applying for her greencard.
A month ago he and her go back to visit their homeland. She finds out after she gets here and after he disappeared one day that her ticket was for a one way trip. He filed for a divorce in Pakistan March 16th.

why did he cheat with me by marriage, he engaged my golden 6 years, ruins my Live, abused me its hard to me to survive in my society Pakistan, no one likes divorced women, Divorce is a call name in the Pakistan, no one then marry to divorced women either she was defaulter or not, how can I live in Pakistan? My father is an old man and has already 4 dependent, he is near to retirement. What is my future now?
Her multiple entry spousal visa expires in July. I have advised her to get back to Chicago well before then and file for a divorce as the one her husband filed would not provide "due consideration" for her. Also his not filing a greencard application in a timely manner is proof of control (abuse) as the USCIS sees it and this and the other things he and his mother did to her that I didn't mention would allow her to file for a self petition as an abused spouse (I-360) of a U.S. citizen. I gave her a contact number for a women's shelter in Chicago. I spoke to them about this.
So, is there anyone in Chicago who would like to be a contact of hers? She is quite frightened and has never been out on her own. I know the shelter will help her but it would be nice for her to have a network of other people she can call. I have given her some contacts numbers in the Minneapolis area (where I live) but that's about 450 miles away.
