I agree and that is the mantra but this ole gal has been tooled along for 6 months and the OP has been pining and sniveling. I'm not even suggesting he go but, we're talking a 2 hour plane ride. She should've given him up long ago. She didn't. Thus might still be worth a visit before her deadline

To be straight forward.
Forget her and move on.
For your future, try to remember that you have this tendency to make excuses for bad behavior (which is probably why she said you talk too much). If you can accept this and remember it, you will benefit greatly and move forward in a good way.

Yeah, I can also feel that side, but I don't recall mention of a promise to visit sooner. Fact is that he has his work/vacation and maybe economic limitations also and can't just spring from one day to the other.  He'll head that way again soon so if she's still hanging around and interested there is nothing stopping them from meeting.

Gawd I remember those young times chasing.. -never worked out for anything good, just pissing in the wind..
