Thank you, I had read somewhere that trains in Ukraine can be dangerous for foreigners. Is this true?

No it's not true.  Trains are a great way to travel.   The biggest danger is a problem with understanding the language enough to buy a ticket and find your seat on the train.

I got back from my 3rd visit to Ukraine yesterday. The first visit was back in October in Kiev and it was great. Lots to see and do. The last 2 times i was in Donetsk which is not a great place if you want to see anything special. Me and my gf live like a married couple already. Renting apartments, shopping, cooking, cleaning, the usual chores. Not really any information to add that might help people visiting Ukraine but i have never had any problems or felt in any way threatened by crime, violence or even the famous police brutality. Maybe i have just not seen enough but i found all the people i had contact with to be decent. Ok i admit that a happy Ukrainian looks and sounds like the most miserable westerner you will ever meet but this is just how they come across culturally and its not to be taken personally. It still takes me time to adjust to the complete inefficiency of the country, customer service is virtually non existent and if you have a problem with anything then expect the term 'don't like it?, go somewhere else for it'

These are just my opinions and will differ to others but i do kinda like the place despite its obvious and somewhat frustrating lack of sense. Maybe its the rustic charm.
Why do I always insist on choosing the difficult options?
