UK Channel 4 documentary series
« on: January 31, 2012, 11:28:52 AM »
Are you in an interracial relationship?
Have you finally found love abroad?
Have you considered giving it a go in the UK together?

Fresh One are a UK based television production company, founded by the television chef Jamie Oliver, and are making a primetime, documentary series for Channel 4 television about British men who have found successful partnerships with foreign fiancées. Research has shown that in the last year few years there has most prominently been a high percentage of women from the Philippines, Thailand, Russia and China entering the UK as fiancées to a British partners. The series we hope to produce will offer genuine insight into modern interracial relationships between British men and foreign women who are about to come to the UK for first time.

The documentary aims to offer a fresh and contemporary perspective following a new generation of interracial partnerships, challenging old stereotypes and exploring the cultural diversity that can be achieved in such couples. Our aim is to produce a series with a warm and informative tone, following the foreign women’s experiences of British culture for the first time - be that, food, family or work - and through their experiences and opinions, hold up a mirror to contemporary Britain; our values and culture, comparatively. We want to produce a warm documentary that looks at British culture through the foreign women’s eyes examining British men, women’s and their expectations of one another, in the process.

We are looking for people who have recently settled in the UK but also those who are potentially about to settle in the UK in the next few months. This allows us to document the women or foreign fiancées first encounters of British culture.

If this sounds like you or someone you know please do contact me for an informal and confidential chat on the details below.

Please note the above post was NOT approved by RWD nor has the OP bothered to ask if this sort of post is acceptable here. In fact, the OP was posting numerous of these same posts in different sections of RWD representing a TOS violation that could have resulted in their banning for link spamming. As it is, I chose to simply post this message and to alert our readers that RWD is frequently approached by media asking for either interviews or access to our members. In the years I have been administering RWD (and PL and GoodWife), there are no more than a handful that have been willing to be forthright with their requests and willing to listen to facts rather than follow their distorted preconceptions.

Caution in contacting this organization is advised.
