What about this?
« on: November 24, 2012, 03:56:14 AM »
I found some other opinions of men which discussed the hughe ammount of Letters they get on some Datingsites (pay per letters sites)
One men told that he is not suprised about this, because he knows that the competition under women of FSU Countrys is extremly high.So thats why many girls decide to write a men first to get the attention on their profiles.

Another reason is that in the FSU Country´s the Women to men ratio is 3 to 1.
He told us to seperat the Letters we get by the City´s (Letters from Odessa,Letters from Kiev and so on).And then count them again. So (as an example) if you get around 50 Letters from Kiev and 100 from Odessa you have to make a comparison between the amount of Ladies who are searching for a men from those Citys.

So he wrote,if there are (for example) 5.000 single Ladies in Kiev searching seriously for a men abroad,a letter amount of 50 women hitting your profile is totaly realistic (those numbers here are only for example because I cant remember the real statistics).
Another reason is that many Girls from the FSU Country are collecting men profiles. So they can check them against each other to have a better overview which men is realy serious or only playing games or even a fake.
Curious to know how you think about those opinions?
Are those guys only dreamers which dont want to accept the truth.Or is there something real behind.
Does it makes sense to do such comparisions and does anyone know more about those "letter-statistics"?

No, it's just wishful thinking on their part.....

It's amazing how many men believe there are all these women just waiting for their Prince Charming to ride in on a white horse, drive off the bad men and carry them off to that Hotpoint-equipped kitchen out past where the sun sets.......
Pick and choose carefully among the advice offered and consider the source carefully. PM, Skype or email if you care to chat or discuss

Marian, I've been a free member of dozens of MOB sites for these past 7 years, and as such still receive their regular newsletters and the letters/winks from their female members - or more likely their staff writers in many cases ;).

What I have noticed from that traffic is that, over the past 2 years or so:

1. The number of letters/winks from the least reputable sites has increased dramatically.

2. The proportion of Russian to Ukrainian women, as new members (newsletters) and letters/winks senders, has reversed in favour of the latter.

IMO, all the above points to the fact that the whole MOB industry is dying and they are becoming desperate to attract new, paying Western male members.

The MOB Russian female component has shrunken considerably due to improved economic conditions - e.g. the newsletter from a reputable site like Bride.ru has become weekly rather than daily and contains half the new members it used to.

So (as an example) if you get around 50 Letters from Kiev and 100 from Odessa you have to make a comparison between the amount of Ladies who are searching for a men from those Citys.
One should also consider the demographics of those cities:

- Kiev: 2,797,553 inhabitants
- Odessa: 1,003,705 inhabitants

Since they are comparable economically (I think), twice as many letters from a city with 1/3 of population is rather curious ;D.

Another reason is that in the FSU Country´s the Women to men ratio is 1 to 3.

That means for every woman there are three men.

I think many of the FSUW would be surprised to learn this.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

I´m also curious to know if that´s true, searching the whole day on google to find some serious statistics about this 1/3 relation.I saw a Women postet this in her profile:

NOTA BENE : Institute of Demography and Social Research of Ukraine informs that there is socially dangerous ratio of men to women in Ukraine 1:4. Premature mortality, especially among men of working age is 3-4 times higher than in EU countries. It is one of the worst demographic situations in Europe. The quantity of women exceed over men in the population after 28 years and increases with age. Another example in Russia… Russia's population is about 143 million people. Among them are about 76.5 million - women, 66.2 million - men. Therefore in Russia there are 10 Million more woman than man! At least 10 million single women, who are not able to create a family, at least with man from Russia ... Just think - 10 million!!! For comparison - this is the population of Hungary, Czech Republic or Belarus ... impressive figure, is not it?NOTA BENE 2: There are a lot of beautiful woman in Ukraine (Russia) because we did not have the Inquisition within the Roman Catholic Church. Beautiful women in Europe were accused of witchcraft and killed. Meanwhile in Russia beautiful women were valued, they first get married and bear a lot of children.

Her "Nota Bene2" sounds a bit strange..lol

Marian, your first post said 3 men for every woman; not 3 women for every man!!!

I was jabbing at your error, even as I knew what  you meant.   8)

But on to the actual statistics; they have been discussed here many times.

The  truth  is  that the number of men and women are equal in FSU countries up until the 40s or so.

So all  the trash you read about a shortage of men FOR THE AGE WOMEN YOU ARE INTERESTED IN is false.

Yes, there are 10,000,000 more women than men . . . if you are interested in hooking up with babushkas.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

Curious to know how you think about those opinions?

Olga writes you and asks if you prefer short blondes.  You say sure.
Natasha writes and asks if you prefer tall brunettes.   You say sure.
Olga and Natasha compare notes and you lose both of them.
Best to choose your own ladies to write to.
Doing a VM with two ladies from same agency can sometimes create a similar problem.

Doesn't make any sense.

The disparity primarily occurs later in life (beginning at 40-something and progressively widening) so those 10 million women are mostly widows and divorcees, not 24 year-old devs desperately searching for an older, father figure to guide them into womanhood.....

Like Odessa vs. Kyiv or Ukraine vs. Russia, this discussion goes on and on......

To hell with the statistics.  There are any kind of woman you want to meet in every medium to large city of Ukraine.  Don't know about Russia.  One of the best ways I have found is to meet people in the cities and then network among their friends.  You will find women that are not on any dating sites.  For the locals there is a stigma about being on dating sites.  You have to go there to believe it and experience it.   Not a very good solution for a 1 or 2 week visit.

Many local women are not on dating sites, but are intersted in meeting foreigners once you are there and find a way to meet them.  Just my experience.   LOL

You are correct, however if you find a way to meet the women that are living a normal life and not on dating sites, it does not mean that they are disinterested in finding a foreign husband.  The seed needs to be planted, the courship needs to commence, and then it is like any romance story.  Maybe it gels, maybe not.  Still better than seeking someone that is desperate or a pro.  LOL

We are saying the same thing. I've been convinced for years that many of those denying they are stereotypes show their true colors when the bubble bursts. Be it divorce, breakup, disappearing, etc. I get sick of those who eventually let slip that she never appreciated the car, the home, the blah, blah, blah.....

That said, I heard a couple of weeks ago that another marriage fell apart within the last month or so. The surprising part was that it was one of the ones who were living "over there".

There are no guarantees in any of this but I remain convinced the stats are far, far worse for these marriages/relationships than normal, same-culture couples.
