Coming out of the Lurking Closet

Hi Everyone,

I've been lurking around this forum for many months soaking in the collective experiences of the guys who are further ahead in this journey. I wanted to drop a line to say hi and to really thank you all for the sheer about of info, especially the trip reports.

A little bit about me. I'm 26 year old, Asian-American college student currently living in the SF Bay Area. I've always wanted to visit Russia, travel the trans-siberian railway and of course, meet some interesting people, especially the ladies. Although my Russian vocabulary is currently at around 75 words in Cyrillic, I should know a bit more by the time I graduate, get an engineering job and save up for my trip.

When I was younger, I dabbled in the PUA community, met some really interesting guys and had some success but I became dissatisfied with the game since it works on the types of girls that I DON'T want to marry. I suppose I'm leaning more towards the FSU as a place where old fashion value might still exist.

Once again, thank you for the wealth of info on this forum and I hope one day I can make some good contributions to this forum.

Just one tip though - don't leave it too long before your first visit.  Even if you don't have anyone special to see, go for the experience.  Just think how much you will be able to then tell your future wife about what you've already seen and done!

Take the trip just for the experience and fun. At your age it too soon to worry about the lovely ladies...that is a job better suited to us  older dudes.
