Money / Banking Issues: Ukraine
« on: June 06, 2013, 07:45:31 AM »
I am seeing that there are some peculiarities with Ukraine?

Anybody know anything about conducting transactions / banking within the country of Ukraine?

Any word on these types of services, or comparable services
- paypal
- payoneer

Anyone keeping up to date on Bitcoins and modern banking?

Last I read, Paypal didn't operate in Ukraine, because of all the fraud.  I can't send packages directly to Ukraine from retailers re online purchases, also because of fraud.

There are European banks, and Russian banks, operating in Ukraine, and those are the safest to use.
After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten

If you need a working internet payment service, I suggest:

- Moneybookers (though unsure if they work in Ukraine)
- Webmoney (certainly working there)

Both have an extended security that ensures the reason why PayPal does not want to operate is not present: no automatic refunds or dispute.

Webmoney can also work with purses in local currency, and can be uploaded as well as withdrawn in local banks in the FSU.
Both serviced offer the possibility of issuing a Mastercard debit card, which can be used worldwide if funds are available, and both can transfer to any bank account worldwide of whom the verified user is the account holder.

No it is not a dog. Its really how I look.  ;)
