Was it you who had mentioned to me that you had met your lady in Amsterdam? She had gotten her visa by traveling on a tour? I have a question about that.

Was not me peewee.
Thats one of many world cities  i have never visted.

I met my wife in her home city ,Dnepropetrovsk ,Ukraine.

I was working /traveling often in Europe at the time..
and each week was basically in a different city..
and had been previuosly living long term in Prague and Greece.

She did visit me in other Western European countries during our courtship?
maybe thats what you were refering to or thinking?

The Western Europe Shengen(sp?) Visa is not impossible for a RW/UW to get?
but it usually involves buying a tour package.

a "tour pakage" helps in getting the visa because it gurantess the RW meets some of the visa requirements already..
and to be honest if the travel agencies book said *tours* , of 25 Russian clients  per month(only example)

and ane average of 25 honor the cvisa stipulations andreturn on time, with the tour, why woulnt the emabassies welcome applications for the shengren visa from that travel agency?
makes sense right?
(even though it basically is a bribe at heart of the matter? lol)

Micheangelo just went thru that with his trip with his RW to Paris
and Barcelona
(what a stinky hell hole that place is, I shoulda warned him )

( his fiancee is from the same city as my wife,so may have bought the *tour package* from the same travel agent lol)

Thanks, AJ. The agency in her city told her that she could get a visa if she booked a tour. I thought that to be ok because the price included the airfare, hotel, and visa. I suppose there is no reason why she would have to stay in that hotel. But I do have some questions so I will get in touch with Michael. I am thinking Paris because it is one of those fly free stay free cities for me. I hope that you meant that Barcelona was the hell hole and not Paris. I have visited Paris before and I liked it.

Ok. Now to find Michangelo.  MICHAEL!!!!

LOL yes, when commenting on stinky hell holes,  i meant Barcelona !

not much  personal experience with fair Pari's!
been to Bercy once, so have seen the place/area  ,seemed cool,
but was there a total of 2 days..and working ,,
not much time to see anything or base any kind of opinion.

If she is booking thru a travel agent on a "tour" ,
thats exactly what we did..
and from the sounds of Micheals T/R they did  similar

depending on your RW situation,
its entirely possible she could self-apply and get a shengren visa..
without the travel agency *tour* route?

but honestly i'm sure she can make a quick call to a local travel agent and get all the details.

Well, she is a brilliant woman but I could tell by talking to her that she was putting too much effort into what might have been simpler than she was making it to be. I told her to forget about the cost of the trip, to go to an agency or two, get the price, and then be sure that the agent would accept visa, and I would take care of it. She was so happy to hear. She had really worried herself over having to make the arrangements. I did not realize it. So thanks for your help, as always, AJ.
