Real Estate question
« on: March 13, 2015, 02:06:05 PM »
I know some of you guys have said that your ladies have kept their apartments in FSU and have rented them out.  I was wondering if anyone had a property management company they could recommend in Moscow.  My RW is looking into renting her apartment and it doesn't make sense to do it without someone there handling rent collection, leases...Any ideas?

If they're anything like the ones in Kyiv, they'll charge around 20% upfront then additional charges for everything else. BUT they will pay the taxes which will take another bite out of the potential profits for an extra fee of course.

We've rented ours out before with bad results and decided it's better to leave it vacant when we're not there.

 Do a google search.

Mixed results. We have an extra apartment in Moscow and have used Airbnb.com in the past. Now we lease it locally.

The Moscow rental market is depressed at the moment. Great for travelers going to Russia, but not so great for landlords.

You can approach almost any real estate agency, or a private realtor, with that request. Доверительное управление недвижимым имуществом, Chapter 53 of Russian Civil Code, it is roughly translated into English as 'trust management of real estate'.

For example, http://www.flatservice.ru/perechen_uslug.html  or
http://www.r-trust.ru/

Ken, I do not know if you will be in Moscow at the time, but on 09 April there will be a convention of international real estate professionals. This will include a selected number of Moscow's expat experts, foreign investors, and local Russian management firms and agents. If interested, and I have no idea of the fees and qualifications to attend, check out this link: http://www.propertyworkshop.ru/?l=eng
