I don't know if its appropriate to place this thread here, so I apoligize in advance to the admins if this is not proper.  Well, quite some time ago, I tried to make contact with the gal below (4 month or so) but I had no response.  Anyways, I get letter from her out of the blue today... but my gut feeling is that something was up.

I did a quick search for her on a few agency sites, and found most of the information to be the same, except for one thing, her date of birth.  Theres a 4 month difference between a few sites I found her on.  Anyhow, I'd be interested to see what develops here, but I figured I'd check with the experts (you guys) to see if anyone has any additional info.  Scam, old photos, already taken?  I don't know.  Thanks for any info.

I haven't seen this lady before, but you mention about the difference in month of the birth date.  I've seen this a lot at the city-of-brides.  Go in on their website, click on one of the ladies, then enter their name and city (not birth date) in Google, and click on the entry that links back to their profile at City-of-brides, and discover that her birth date changed with X number of months, same day and year though.  Kind of weird, isn't it?

Seems like they have some kind of double profile system. Notice that one of the two profiles has a more brief description of their preferences even though the info is basically the same.

Some scammers post different names, birthdates and occupations on various sites to thwart Google searches. Other times, the discrepancies are simply related to nicknames, translation variations, clerical errors and job changes. Not to worry, the truth will come out sooner or later.

One site listed her as "Loran" for the last name.  From saint petersburg.

I've heard that this is one way that these girls get birthday presents several times a year from guys that don't have a clue and send money without  meeting first. It's just not Am. guys that do this but also men from all over the world that are trusting, don't know the scam games or whatever reason. Even in the small towns you see the rich/well -to-do Spanish, Italian, Egyptian, etc, looking to the FSU for their prize. Many keep a woman for their use when they blow into town from time to time. She will never tell you this.They set her up with gifts, apts. etc.The only promise they want is that she's available when they show up. As it's been said" it's a jungle out there"
