LNR asks Kyiv to pay social benefits and recognizes Donbas residents as citizens of Ukraine
Terrorist organization ‘Luhansk People’s Republic’ has published an appeal to leadership of Ukraine with request not to stop paying social benefits
Terrorist LNR appeals to Ukrainian government asking not to stop paying social benefits to local residents of the territories controlled by their fighters and fighters of DNR.
According to their statement, government’s refusal to pay social benefits to resident of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts that live on territories uncontrolled by Kyiv would become a noose for the people.
Terrorists say in their appeal that lots of people had to regularly travel from Donetskm Luhansk and other settlements to other town of Donbas to Kyiv controlled territories to receive the social benefits. They say that is Kyiv decides to cease paying of social benefits it will declare war not against armed people but to its own citizens, to the ones that are mostly unprotected.
Due to this, the self-proclaimed KNR in its appeals to President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, deputies of Verkhovna Rada and members of Ministry Cabinet asking ‘not to condemn elderly people and those in need in Donbas to starvation and miserable existence, especially before winter’.
In addition the statement includes the appeal to European politics, social workers and lawyers asking to influence Ukraine in order to abandon this destructive step.
As we informed previously, in early November Ministry Cabinet of Ukraine had adopted resolution to cease financing of those regions of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts that are occupied by terrorists. According to Prime Minister Yatseniuk this would mean giving money directly to terrorists. He demanded to clean the territory from terrorists and not make them hostages of empire ambitions.
According to Ministry Cabinet, the occupied territories would receive social payment until December 1. After that, if they want to receive payment they have to leave the occupied territory and register on territory controlled by Ukrainian government. They will receive social payments if they live there. Those who stay on occupied territories will be able to receive all their payments only when the territories return under Ukrainian control, meanwhile money will be put on their personal accounts and stay there.
