Anyone have experience with ukrainebride in Odessa?
« on: May 08, 2006, 07:37:20 AM »
Hello Everyone,
Has anyone used the agency ukrainebride in Odessa?
If you did, what was your impression of the girls? Most
of them seem to be very young, and maybe not so serious
for marriage?? I think they are just being used as a product
to lure men to spend their money. I am only saying this based
on my experience, ( 6 trips ). Also, I see that the owner is displaying
the girls as merchandise, promoting the sale of the girls photos in
thong bikinis?? I have not visited or used this agency, it is just my gut feeling
from my experience using other agencies.

I have not used them, but I recognize the site and saw some of their advertising while I was in Odessa.  And yes, the bikini photos and videos are a little over the top.  Their introduction fee is $149/intro , which is reason enough to avoid them.

When I was in Odessa in June 04 2004 I met Frank (the owner) and he reminded me of a used car salesman.  He pushes the american angle and wants the guys to date as many women as possible (if I remember correctly the meeting was $65.00 a pop).

I confess I actually went out with two ladies and during my conversation I found out that they had no intention of leaving the Ukraine.  Both of them told me that Frank recruited them off the street by taking their photos and making a promise to them.  Neither one would say what was promised, but I would say they were given a percentage of the dating fee.

I spent $130.00 on those 2 "dates" and don't have any regrets since I went to Odessa to celebrate my 35th birthday and to have a good time-of which both were accomplished with great success (There's still 12 hours of my 35th birthday I still have no recollection of).

Odessa is unlike any other place I have visited and there were a number of surreal moments there and there's a line from a  Greatful Dead song that seemed perfect for that trip "One a long strange trip it's been".

Bottom line is I couldn't recommend Ukrainebrides if you were seriously looking for a soulmate.

Just another free opinion of a federal civil servant that is residing in the great state of Texas.

Hello Blade,
I met Frank a few years back when he was just getting started in Odessa. He helped me rescue a trip that went south after the girl I came to see(wrote letters through another site) turned out to be married  ???. Frank's all about meetings, he thinks letter writing is mostly a waste of time, and I've come to agree with this point of view. His charges are now much higher, I see. However, he does a very good job of keeping track of the ladies on his site, so you won't find girls there that have already been married 5 years. I did meet a couple of exceptional girls through his site. They were serious about marriage,  and I was very happy to have met them. One I returned to see on two later trips, and I finally ended it over my own concerns about age difference, not hers. Can't blame Frank for that. Many of the girls on his site are younger, so you have to really contain yourself from trying to make a big age difference work.
So, to sum it up, you will have a good idea what the girl looks like beforehand (he takes all the photos), will have a lot of assistance and interpreting help (included), and will pay a lot for the service. Frank is very upfront about everything, and doesn't create a ridiculous fantasy like all too many other agency owners. Regardless, chances of success are still up to you. Just my two cents, Wendell in Austin

I would advise you to stay away from this person and his agency.  I did purchase contacts from a Mr. Frank [personal data deleted by Admin], and after several attempts to confirm that the girls information was correct, (it was not), he only sent me back one of the contact costs - this may seem small, but he charges for a translation fee (I don't have a problem w/that), but he even refused to refund the translation fees I had purchased (about $90).  And he also is "brokering" or "representing" property for sale in Odessa - hhmmmm . . . carrying business practices like that over to real estate in EE usually ends with a dirt nap.

Edit: Please do not post things like specific addresses in the open forum. You can provide enough information so that if anyone else has specific knowledge, they can contact you off-board to confirm the details. Thanks

I have visit these agency during my stay in Odessa... simply by curiosity... they are located in center, near the main street, not far of the o'neil pub... the front side show a name called "American Business Center"... the main function is real estate, business, hiring appartment, etc... the marriage agency is only a "bonus"... and since it is American owned, it is American model business, with very big publicity in almost all main street of Odessa... I have see flow of lady to these place... you have big choice and of course, you have a % of scammer like everywhere.

Second place, more little, in a little side way from the main street, it was Adam and Eva agency... more little scaled, more local color...

Big business with choice or little one with friendly contact, make your choice...

I cannot comment over other agency in Odessa, they are the two only one that i have visit and ask information... I have see a other office from agency but they was closed these  day!

More will come later, in the trip report...

Hello

I tried this agency 2 yrs ago when i was new to the whole thing, and yes there full of shit, $60 per meeting with girls who will date Quasimodo, for the comission they get from the agency for turning up.  I would say if your on a stag weekend, and by the way thats all i see Odessa fit for these days, then yes take your mates down there and date a model, it will make a good screen saver for your pc.
If your looking for a wife then forget them.
