Why no ongoing romance?  Was that your choice or theirs?  Why would they hang around to help you in that regard?  I guess this doesn't make sense to me.

Like I said - everyone's different.  The "no romance" was simply because there was nowhere near enough chemistry between us.  I was able to meet women who cared about more than just sex - they were proud of their cities, and were happy to show me around.  On my second trip, the first woman I met was from Ukraine, but we met in Rostov, and eventually travelled to Sochi.  It was all new to both of us, so we enjoyed the holiday as much as each other.

I agree with Billy that guys go to Russia or Ukraine looking for love and they should be perfectly honest about it.  If it goes south why not try to line up some other dates?

I don't mind cathedrals and museums but prefer to do that route after finding a love interest.

Unless you're spending 24 hours a day with your lady, you'll have free time to go sightseeing, shopping or whatever - on your own.  Use it to take a break, so that neither of you get overloaded with emotions or frustrated about misunderstandings.  You know - step back and smell the flowers!

I'm convinced my incredible  wife is a great match that would be hard to find anywhere, i'm lucky to have been open to looking further than my city,state or country,and i do believe it can add more possibilities to anyone's search.She could have lived anywhere,,my search wasn't limited to the fsu.

While looking for better is certainly a good general  idea in life,
not everyone's main goal  is to chase down the very  best deal on paper towels , or a wife.
I dint set up my trips to meet ten.. and wouldn't have assumed to find out of my league women  if  i did so..if others do that's perfectly fine,and while honest ,it certainly would bring its own challenges. Hopefully they are up for them long term.
I preferred to meet a women i felt would be good matches in all categories as we would hopefully both feel relaxed,blessed , and lucky to have met.Not some sliding scale of value to current market and location.
So why look for the same type of women you could meet locally? because you havnt met a good match locally yet ,but they certainly exist.

7-8 years ago I went out with a former pro football player. She had played in the Women's Professional Football League. I didn't know such a league had even existed. She was quite small. She told me that she was the smallest girl in the league, which had been a handicap. I think she said she finally had to quit because a hard hit on the field gave her a concussion.

It was not a wise career move. She gave up a highly-paid job as a pharmaceutical sales rep in order to play football.
