House of Cards - Season 3 - United States

I had the chance to see some episodes from 'House of Cards' over the weekend.

It was really interesting as one of the primary topics of conflict for the show is the new Russia and the paranoid, delusional, attitudes of its leader.

For those of you who don't know, House of Cards is a drama show featuring Francis 'Frank' Underwood, a scheming politician, who ascends to the Presidency.  In this, the third year, it focuses on his Presidency.  His opposition in the Kremlin is 'Victor Petrov' who has a non-coincidental resemblance to another VP whom is often vilified on this forum.  In a bit of irony, they made Petrov much taller than all of those around him, highlighting, of course, that Putin is much shorter than his contemporaries.

While I won't spoil the plot, one scene features a state dinner to which the members of Pussy Riot are invited at the White House.  Needless to say, they don't get along too well with Petrov/Putin.
