Congratulations.

Now try to stay away from her as much as possible, because you are not yet out of the woods with respect to a false domestic violence charge.

Just hope she doesn't read the internet much, as there are a lot of RW out there who tell about this procedure.
I'm not really worried about that.  It is sad to know that she will be leaving, but I know once she's on that airplane I'll begin to feel better and obviously feel some relief.  I know I dodged a bullet, but it's going to take some time for me to fully realize that.  What really annoys me is I spent somewhere around $1,400 for her AOS which went to waste because she wasn't at the first interview, and now obviously she won't be doing the interview at all.  Wonder if I could get any of that back?!  Seriously doubt it.

Oh, and just to tell you how much of a POS she is, I told her she really needs to talk to my son, and explain to him that her leaving has nothing to do with him.  Her reply "I believe he is your son and it's your duty to talk to him"!  I really think she might win a prize if there were ever a cold hearted b_tch contest.

In a sense, she's right.  You married a woman you didn't know.  You introduced her into your son's life, without thinking about the consequences to him.  You're his parent.  She is not.  This is all on you.  And you're planning on doing it all over again.
After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten

Don't have to.  She found the money and has tickets to leave on the 22nd.

The "right" thing for you to do is assist her financially in returning to Russia. It would also be to reimburse her for those tickets. I say this because she gave a hell of a lot up to marry you and join you in the US. It didn't work out and trying to surmise who's fault it is is Monday morning quarterbacking and accomplishes nothing. When she returns her life will be much different than when she left. If you care at all about her and her daughter as you say you do, you'll give her all the help she needs. FWIW

Earlier you made it sound as if she's going to have a difficult life without you but it seems she does have access to a lot of money. Be thankful she's not draining your wallet.

What do you want her to say? The truth that she doesn't want to live life with you and it's not your son's fault? That would not be a topic your son needs to hear. It's up to her if she is diplomatic enough to talk to your son without damaging his image of you. Just tell your son not everybody can live their lives together and will go separate ways once they learn that. Leave your son out of this breakup. Don't use your son to make her feel guilty or motivated to stay with you.

What really annoys me is I spent somewhere around $1,400 for her AOS which went to waste because she wasn't at the first interview, and now obviously she won't be doing the interview at all.  Wonder if I could get any of that back?!

There are no guarantees that a marriage will last a lifetime. Would you rather be married for decades or for life with a woman that doesn't love you? Usually one spouse finds out before the other that they are not compatible. One spouse, in this case is you, will be extremely disappointed. If I ever become single again, I'm going to jump into a dating world that will be an exciting and fun experience. You are becoming bitter as if there is not much to look forward to in life. If you become a man women respect and find the right woman, you will forget about this woman easily.

The "right" thing for you to do is assist her financially in returning to Russia. It would also be to reimburse her for those tickets.

I believe the woman doesn't want any money from EasternSun. EasternSun has made it a point she needs him and she's making a point she doesn't need him.

It would be interesting to see how the visa issue is handled, not handled after she failed to complete her Resident Alien application.  I wonder if the authorities in Russia will have any requirements based on how long she stayed in the US.

I wondered the same thing.  She's telling her friends she'll be back to visit them, but I really doubt she'd ever be able to get a tourist visa after that.

There will be no Russian requirements as long as she has her valid Russian passport
