Putin's Work Out Gear

Not only expensive, but produced in the EU!  Evidently, Italian produced cashmere work out gear does not suffer the same fate as parmigiano reggiano.

Putin had no problem practicing his calf raises and working that inner-thigh machine in the half-cashmere, half-silk drawstring jogging pant, which retails for $1,425 (Quartz first identified the outfit). He waited until after a set of side crunches and a bit of heavy chest breathing to throw on the matching $1,795 bomber-style zip-up hoodie.

Cashmere and silk are not known for being especially moisture-wicking or sweat-absorbing materials, but Putin didn’t let a little sogginess sour a perfectly good post-workout brunch of grilled meat and tea. One can only hope the president followed the very particular care instructions for the garments later. Loro Piana’s Web site advises washing the sweat suit by hand using neutral detergent (Loro Piana Cashmere Soap, specifically) or dry-cleaning it using perchloroethylene, inside out, of course.

Thanks to a group of Russian citizen bloggers who brought this issue to the attention of outside media sources. Can a government employee whose salary is less than $100k afford to wear jewelry and watches worth many times their official salary?

  I got a few laughs out of watching the workouts myself. I have my doubts those pull ups weren't aided though. If you look at his bicep its not working very much, and they don't show his lower legs, so it would be easy to have some surf giving him a push.

 As for the clothes I guess its to be expected from Putman and the Boy Plunder.
