Celebrating the baby steps.
« on: September 24, 2015, 06:22:53 AM »
It's great celebrating the baby steps with your wife.

The first new word she learns (my dad was angrily yelling 'come on!' To a car in front of us).

The first time she exits the house without you by her side.

The first time she uses a public bathroom without you standing outside and waiting.

The first day of English lessons.

The first friend she makes.

Olga took her first trip into Boston via train yesterday. I was very proud of her. She spent three hours exploring the mall.

I'll add more as they happen.

Anymore baby steps happening? I tell my nieces and nephews the first words that came out of their mouth were "uncle Billy".

For sure it is  ;D

With Angel Eyes and Smiley Girl they came along in bunches and
I got to celebrate two sets of steps. Smiley Girl's first day of school
was almost in total panic. Everyone was talking too fast for her to
keep up, but she eventually caught up and got almost straight A's

Angel Eyes made her baby steps as well but it was different and with
less fanfare than with a teenage girl who could burst into laughter or
big crocodile tears a half dozen times per day.

Just wait until the "Everything here taste like shit" phase.

Just smile and say Yes dear.  ;)

Luckily for me Angel Eyes planted a garden and we have a cornucopia of fresh
vegetables because the store bought tomatoes taste a hundred times better in
Russia. We also have a pantry filled with vegetables that she canned too.

Ochka canned 20 quarts of tomatoes (mostly thick juice, but some pureed and some chopped) and 6 quarts of mixed tomatoes, zucchini, potatoes, carrots and eggplant.

She chastised me for opening a quart of her tomato juice yesterday at sandwich time, since we still have fresh tomatoes.  But man, was it tasty.  We finished off the entire quart in one setting.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

It's funny, she tells me "Rob. I love you. You know why?"
I ask, "Why?"
She says "Because your my husband" incorrectly stressing the hus.
This is on of those funny things that make me laugh.
