Ukraine has become a hotbed for arms dealing.

I'm not sure why I was surprised at this story.   This will not make other countries want to supply Ukraine with weapons.

Quote

"Ukraine has turned into a supermarket for illegal weapons," he said. "In Ukraine, a gun is like shoe polish in a shoe polish factory."

An interesting quote from the article.  It does say some of the weapons are supplied by the Russian side but more are coming from the Ukranian military.

Quote

But most of the weapons on the black market come from the Ukrainian military and the around 40 volunteer battalions, which for most of the fighting remains outside the military chain of command.

haha  I can only imagine the froth of foam around your mouth.  I had a feeling that you would be "triggered" by the corruption still happening in Ukraine.

But it is getting better!  haha

I hope your welfare check comes soon so you can get laid.   :D

Given how the Balkans has allowed Europeans to buy arms, where arms sales are strictly controlled, and the fact Ukraine is already a hotbed for smuggling drugs into the EU, this is a problem, as is the potential for violence within Ukraine.
After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten

It sounds like this could expand outside of Ukraine.   The French man busted on the Polish border had quite the arsenal.  I can see some bad things happening in some of those EU countries that are showing increases in nationalism.  I don't really think nationalism is a bad thing, it's the small number of whackos that tend to take it to a violent conclusion that worries me.

We can hope the Germans are arming themselves, given the problems they are having in their society due to Merkel's import-a-criminal-underclass policy...
