Hi

My plans for New Years fell through. Can anyone suggest some place to go in Kyiv on New Years Eve? Thank you!

In simplist terms . . . . go to Khreschatic street and meander toward Independence Square.  The street and sidewalks will be packed with people.  Look for gals that seem to be by themselves or with another gal or two.  Try to start a conversation.  Many of them will be prostitutes, some will not be.  In either event, you could have a good time.  Ask some of them (gals first then guys if you can't get any gals to talk) where is best place to go.  There will be lots of places right on and off Khreschatic.  Most likely a gal will tell you the best place and then you can ask her to go with you.

For having a good time in general and picking up gals in particular, if you can't do it on Khreschatic Street on New Years . . . .  then you likely can't do it anywhere.

If you don't want to wing it, then contact one of the dozens of marriage agencies in Kyiv and pay $20-50 bucks for one of their date/introductions.  Most of the agencies have gals on their list who are professional daters anyway, so its just a regular passtime for them.  I have never dealt with agencies (but I know how they work), so can't give you any names, but many others on this board can give you the appropriate agency names.

Albert - great idea.  If I was single Kreshatik on New Years  sounds like an amazing opportunity to reel in the numbers / contacts of  potential long term or your future wife :)
