otoh, was EXPECTING an interview at Moscow and dreading it, my wife would've been REALLY mad if we were denied entry, but passport/visa was staffed by bored personnel, tourists have to know how to read the form in Russian and sign it, and the officials told people just do it, yawn...
that's when I knew things were OK
