Gazprom shares crashed 30% yesterday.

This was after the company announced they wouldn't be paying dividends.

Hopefully plenty of Russian/pro Russian investors have lost their shirts. :)
Just saying it like it is.

I'd rather see 'em lose their pants.

The largest gas company IN THE WORLD, now has a P/E ratio of .47!!!!!
I imply that the reason for this isn't related to a drop in gas receipts,
BUT...
the fact that the Russian government, just took ALL their money!!!!
what this means is that Gazprom, will not have ANY money for any future "BIG" projects
they've been robbed of ALL their money needed for that
also means oligarchs make less money

next will come layoffs

Gazprom is "majority" state owned, so the rules, probably makes this REAL easy for Russian Gov. to take EVERYTHING!
let's see if this happens with a private company like Lukoil
if it happens to Lukoil, then this is the opening move of Putin vrs oligarchs

Please tell us your reference source for this 'fact?'

And what is the definition of 'money' as used here?
A very successful company may have very little 'money' if it is defined as cash on hand and in bank accounts.
In fact, it is foolish to have assets held in that manner.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

'money' = Accounts receivable
biggest investor in gazprom = Russian government

and THEN read between the lines...

horrosho
I wouldn't worry over the company holding on to the cash, cuz it's ALREADY gone!
This is not madness!
this is Russia, where dividend collects YOU!!
