Well looks like the far right, 'Brothers of Italy' party ran away with Sunday's Italian Parliamentary Election to victory and will claim a majority of the seats with their right wing allies, the League & Forza in both their houses of Parliament:

This is likely to be unwelcome news for the EU as both the Brothers of Italy and the League are Euro-Skeptic parties. On top of that Italy's economy is in very bad shape now sinking under a sea of debt that is far greater than its GDP. Add to that the energy crisis will be affecting Italy also with the cost of electricity, oil & gas. While Italy is generally a warmer country so winter won't likely be as bad depending on how weather currents go of course. All countries need energy for homes and industry and any price hikes can close down businesses leading to unemployment.

The 'Brothers of Italy' are of course a fascist party developed on from Mussolini's fascists. So after all this time Mussolini's fascists are essentially back in power a thought I'm sure the EU loves!

I just hope for BC's sake that he topped up that collection box to the brim before this election result and is now safely barricaded himself into his luxury villa. BC we're all rooting for you man

Mussolini managed it. Plus the Italian economy is only likely to go downhill under a mountain of debt that is now so large it can never hope to repay. Remember they have the Euro which can't be devalued. The EU is deep in debt now so is little they can do and Germany has its own economic problems now with energy concerns.

I told you when the virus kicked off that the Italian fascists would be making a comeback BC and here we are. Only now for the economy to crumble and the girls there will get desperate for a guy from a good west European country like the UK to rock up I'll be there as soon as I can!!!

Indeed, Bill.  The center of the political spectrum over here is in a different place than in the US.
