The use of polls here at RWD is a terrific feature which allows us to gain insight and knowledge about our demographic, and also about our priorities and more.

   I have an idea-question for the age statistics. Is there a way to have the 'database' keep track based on what members put in their profiles? That way ythere would be no need for a poll. Just a thought, and I'm not sure how you would go about doing this.

Yes, but.

The members would need to be more willing to be forthcoming with DOB and gender information in their profiles than they are at present.

We could pull out the information from the DB just to compare - but I also know that some folks intentionally provided bogus information in their profiles - probably in the pursuit of anonymity.

I'll think about it a bit to see what, if anything, we can do along those lines.
