RW a Warrior's Holiday? Think again.
« on: September 27, 2006, 06:50:30 PM »
OlgaS's excellent post in the Regaining Control thread
really got me thinking - and so I asked my wife to recall
the family dynamic during Soviet times. "Dad had the final
word - however, at times his word was shaped by Mom's
strong advice and opinion. He was an achiever, even holding
Party membership - yet often it was Mom who held the
fort together. When he passed away, I was only 21, and
within our family unit, life became a woman's world....."

Especially for the newbies, and anyone who holds dear
the traditional values of the FSU woman, check out
Edvard Radzinsky's quick march through the recent history
of woman's role in human interrelations:

Interesting and thanks. The more I read the more I know. Every tid bit of information leads to a better understanding of that other culture that is foreign to many of us, Russian.
