The sweet things our FSUW do...
« on: May 01, 2007, 07:53:04 AM »
There's been a lot of negativity lately and we've seen the worst side of some FSUW so I thought it'd be fun to share the sweet things our FSUW do for us.

Today I received a letter in the mail from My Girl and inside there was a card with some lovely words but there was also a beautiful hankerchief with some very fine crochet word enclosed and scented with her perfume.  Nicest of all was her comment that she "made it with her own hands so I could hold it in my hands".

This isn't the first thing she made me.  Earlier this year she gave me a scarf she'd knitted and she's sent photos of an amazing tablecloth she's currently crocheting for my mother.

It's sweet... and very thoughtful.  I know it takes time and effort and I really appreciate the sweet little things she does.

How about you???  What are the things your partner does for you that remind you how she feels?

Great stuff Kuna.  Isn't it cool when they touch you like that? Hmmm, I'll try to add something..

Aside from the SMS’s she sporadically sends throughout the day with “Kiss you”, “Miss you” and the like.  Here’s a brief story from my visit with her which really touched me with her sweet nature.

I have been blessed well a pretty good immune system.  I rarely, if ever, become ill with cold/flu in the States.  However, during my visit with her, I caught a most miserable cold.
She prepared fresh chicken soups, fed me medicine at the prescribed hours (and simply would not take any brushing off when it concerned her caring for me.  All of this is wonderful, but here’s the thing which really touched me…

I simply could not sleep with this cold, so she sat beside me and rubbed my back and shoulders to make me completely relax, and then began stroking my hair with her hand while my head rested on the pillow.  I drifted off to sleep with her stroking my hair.  About 4 hours later, I woke to discover she had somehow replaced my pillow with herself, sitting up with her head tilted back sleeping quietly, my head on her lap, her tiny hand still twitching in my hair while she slept.  I was completely touched by this. I very quietly and softly got up, put my arms under her, and carried her to the bed; she woke a little, but gently drifted to sleep immediately as I tucked her into bed.

I went back to the sofa and managed to doze off for about two hours, and then woke up again to find her kneeling beside the sofa, her head on my shoulder sleeping quietly with her little hand twitching in my hair again. Unbelievable.

She is a true treasure of a woman.  Whether we are truly compatible together for marriage will take time and devotion to the long term process to discover, but, without a doubt, she touched my soul this and many times with her tender sweet caring nature.

Dave

Makes sure every one of my relatives has a birthday card signed by me on time.  Gets me to sign her relatives cards on time as well.  That sure makes my life easier and I really appreciate it.

I know that I am on the other side of the fence but I'd like to share anyway. For the last 18 months my husband and I work for the same company. He is so protective of me... sometimes it gets out of hands  ;D but still it is very nice to know that I mean so much to him that he is not afraid of anything or anyone.

Likewise, and also reminding me that I need to go see my mother or call her on the phone to say "hello."  And she ALWAYS makes sure I send flowers on Mother's Day, Easter, and on her birthday.

Kuna,

Your woman is a "giver".  These little presents are not so little.  Crochet work requires much time.  Yes, definitely great signs of her affection.

If I were to post everything that Elena does for me and for others Dan would have to buy more bandwidth!

She loves, gives, cares, and feels with her entire soul.

She'll argue with me on this but it is the truth: She is the best part of my life and our son's life, and our world is a wonderful place because of her.

My first Christmas away from home I was feeling a bit homesick so my wife surprised me with a puppy.  Later, she crocheted matching sweaters for the dog and I.

Every Christmas she shops for things to send to my children and grandchildren for Christmas and takes great pains to find just the right gifts.  She also sews something for each one.  Her expressions of love for my children are evidence of her love for me.

That pretty lady that married my son is.....the best wife and mother bar none.

She always brings me something to add to my Russian collection....This time I received special Russian Easter eggs!

And the hugs are......really special. :)
May those that love us, love us.
And those that don't love us,May God turn their hearts.
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,May He turn their ankles,
So we will know them by their limping.

No laughing or I'll have to kill you all,  :).
My wife does so much I couldn't begin to list them all but pretty much what everybody elses does & then some.
One thing he has taken to doing lately that I don't know if I should be upset or just go with it, so far I'm just going with it.
Let me explain...A week or so ago I accidently forgot to zip up before leaving the flat. We got on the bus headed for the center & the trolly bus matron noticed it & mentioned it to me. However there were some words I didn't understand as I hadn't learned them yet (I'll never forget them now!! :-[). Anyway the wife steps in front of me as I'm telling this woman I don't understand & reaches down & zips me up in front of God & all those on the bus. She got a few smiles & snickers as I turned quite pinkish in embarrassment.
Anyway, now everytime we or I go to leave the house now she has to check & make sure my fly is zipped. Kinda cute but kinda embarrassing too, I mean dear I was only trolling!!!
Then I had to explain trolling & got a swat for that  :o just some days it don't pay to get out of bed. :o ;D ;D

Sounds kinda like when I purposely get a spot of dust on that area so she will brush it off for me.
