Thanks for the info. I did try freepersonal.ru for a short while but only found scammers there. One girl from Moldova looked real. I had her mobile and talked to her several times. She even had icq and we chatted there. Never asked for money and agreed to meet in Odessa as it is a pain to get to Moldova (poor connections, need of a visa etc.) and then a week before the date of meeting poof, gone without a trace. Telephone now attended by a woman who spoke no English (maybe its her speaking in a disguise). Anyway my trip to Odessa was only 4 days and I did have a plan B so it was good fun.
I have never used Elena’s but looks like they are probably the best so I might give it a go.
Valentine’s day is gaining popularity in the FSU now. Still the number one flower giving holiday is the International Woman’s day on the 8th March, so don’t forget that if you find a sweetheart(s) there. Of course there will be her(their) birthday(s) and also the name day that is celebrated like a mini-birthday.

By the way...  On Elena's models you have two choices (actually several, but it comes down to this)..

You can pay the membership and get access to the full database EXCEPT the new listings...  Or you can just subscribe to the weekly catalogue (which is the new listings)...  Of course you could do both.  I just did the new listings and found it good but on several occasions I was REALLY tempted to pay the extra and get access to addresses of the girls that had been there longer.

I've gotta warn you though Mir... if you're going to use Elena's Models you're going to have to compete with my incredible wit and charm.

Oh, the other one I was tempted to use was bride.ru (I think).  LOTS of attractive girls and you get the addresses and numbers directly.  Have to be cautious about scammers though.. but that rule applies everywhere, even at home huh!

(On a side point...  I noticed you're in the UK.  Gotta love day 1 of the Ashes huh?  LONG way to go yet but your ladies haven't won at the Gabba for DECADES!)

 ;D

Thanks for the tip; I was intending to join the weekly catalogue for 3 months.
Yes I did watch the pre-lunch session at Gabba (it starts at 12 mid-night here). In fact I did post here a message to you about the 4 Sheilas/davuchkas singing the anthem. Of course given the unquestionable superiority if your team I would only make noises if it turns out well for us.
Hmmm, there will be no need to compete. I do not intend to join Elena’s till after Xmas/New Year and you will most likely be engaged by then and I will have the field to myself hahaha.

Kuna,
I really don't have much to add here because you seem to be doing everything very correctly in my opinion.  It is refreshing to witness a man that is going through this process in a clear and logical manner!
The one point I will make is that you seem to be a very detailed and analytical type and there will be times that you shouldn't analyze every word written or spoken.  Keep in mind that even though the girls you have chosen speak English well, it is still their second or third language.  Make some allowance for them if they should use a wrong word or two.  My wife spoke very good English when we met, but for the first year or two many of our disagreements were caused by a slight miscommunication due to her language capabilities.  My advice is that if one of the girls writes or says something that seems out of character, stop and ask for clarification.  It just could be a word she misused  or a word from you that was misunderstood.

The good thing here, is that you will be getting into a deep level of communication and not trying to "read" her grunts and body language!  ::) Best of luck to you.

When I was using agencies, I had much better experiences with girls who were newly listed. They were much more enthusiastic than the girls who'd been listed for a long time. After meeting guys who don't fit the bill or choose other women to get serious with, it doesn't take much to change a serious, enthusiastic girl into a cynic or even a professional dater.

I have to agree with KenC here.  No matter how well she speaks English, her culture and frame of reference are different and some things just don't come out right, so always give her the benefit of the doubt when she says something that appears at first to be offensive and ask for clarification.  Even though my wife speaks excellent English, we have also had many occasions where simple miscommunications have led to disagreements.  The same applies on your side as your culture and experience will often give your words an entirely different meaning to her, so if she ever seems offended uninitentionally, ask her about it.  A simple example:  to French kiss means something entirely different to a Russian.
A funny story about how sometimes mixing English and Russian can get you into trouble.  A friend of mine who lives here was at a restaurant with his wife and was asked by the waiter if he wanted anything.  His reply, "Me nyet".  If you don't know what that means in Russian, ask your wife, but definitely don't ask your girlfriend.

Mir...  HA!  I wouldn't get yourself too far down MY track yet.   :)  Engaged is a big step in my opinion and it would really take a high level of comfort before I take the plunge.

Ken,  Thanks for your comments, and yes, I agree that I tend to lead with the head to protect the heart.  There's already been one or two "confusing" moments with the girls to date so I can only imagine the potential confusion inside of a relationship.

One comment I have for you though.  I can't imagine you and your wife ever having a disagreement.  I mean, COME ON,!!!  She's gorgeous, how could you ever have a clash of opinions. I'd imagine when she says something like "It'd be nice for you to stand on you head in the corner for an hour" you'd say "May I have a cushion so I don't get a bruise?"  ;D  Kidding of course, but your point is well taken.

When I was using agencies, I had much better experiences with girls who were newly listed. They were much more enthusiastic than the girls who'd been listed for a long time.

Groov,

I agree totally but there's only so many new girls out there!

I can understand the girls becoming a bit "scorned" through broken promises, etc from the men that went before us...  BUT I woould think that there up ups and downs with both new and not so new girls.

On a side note - My Selection Criteria included considerations for having children with a future partner so I preferred a girl that wasn't too far advanced in age, but since I've been on my search I've found that there are some truly beautiful women in their late 30's and 40's.

If I was older I wouldn't hesitate to meet some of these girl, with or without children.

Oh come on Scott... you can't leave us hanging like that!   :-[

Guys,  thanks for the comments, it's appreciated!

No matter how good looking your woman is, you still eventually get past her beauty being a qualifying trait that gets in the way of a normal relationship.  Seriously, if your woman is not "beautiful" on the inside, she will soon become a very ugly woman on the outside too.  I lucked out because Lena is more beautiful inside than out!

Hint on "me, nyet".  The act would involve knee pads for your girl.

Ken C, Scott

"Me, nyet" is understandable as is mispronouncing that you need "one minute" when the waitress ask if you are ready to order.

The fun Russian women will have a big laugh and then explain (or better, demonstrate) three hours later your mistake.
