Bride.ru pre-membership questions...
« on: September 28, 2006, 10:55:46 PM »
After visiting their site it appears that it lacks many detail information regarding the way they operate and the type of service they provide as well as who to contact in case of questions or problems (there is no FQA, Contact Us, or any such sections).  I have a few questions, and I would appreciate some clarification:

1) Has anyone signed up with their service whereby you paid by wiring money to them?
2) Has anyone encountered problems by paying them and not receiving proper access to the site?
3) I am thinking of signing up for 3 months of either Gold or Silver membership.  Any idea as to how I would go about extending my service before the end of the three months?
4) Is it possible to upgrade from Silver to Gold midway through the membership?
5) Aside from access to more ladies, is there any additional benefit for having Gold membership?  I asked this question, since they require $50 setup fee for Gold membership and no setup for Silver.  One could assume that since the higher-end service has a setup fee and the lower-end one does not, it could include additional services, but their site is not clear on any of these.
6) They have a "Click here for Live Support" on their membership site.  Has anyone used it before and got a reply back?  Essentially, I would like to know how promptly they get back to their clients (the level to customer service one should expect).
7) Any nightmare stories to share about the service you have received from them?

Thanks in advance for any input and assistance.
Max.

Welcome Max,

1) Has anyone signed up with their service whereby you paid by wiring money to them?
I think you'll be fine wiring them money otherwise I'd read about any scam activity on scam sites by now.

2) Has anyone encountered problems by paying them and not receiving proper access to the site?
Most people who have problems have it because of their own doing since they fail to understand the instructions utilizing the site, cancelling membership, or removing their profile.

3) I am thinking of signing up for 3 months of either Gold or Silver membership.  Any idea as to how I would go about extending my service before the end of the three months?
You will most likely get a notice to keep your membership going or you can contact them.

4) Is it possible to upgrade from Silver to Gold midway through the membership?
Going cheap you will most likely regret it. Are you sure writing to Silver membership women is good enough for you? The cost difference is not much compared to what it's going to cost to travel.

Gold membership women are in higher demand and thus Bride.ru can charge more money. Doesn't seem fair but that's life. Bride.ru offers no service, don't expect anything extra beside getting contact info.

6) They have a "Click here for Live Support" on their membership site.  Has anyone used it before and got a reply back?  Essentially, I would like to know how promptly they get back to their clients (the level to customer service one should expect).
Never tried it but from other experiences I had with Russian businesses. it's lousy customer service. That's life... in the FSU.

7) Any nightmare stories to share about the service you have received from them?
Nightmares? Just nice dreams of all the beautiful ladies they offer, especially of my fiancee who had a profile there.

Thanks in advance for any input and assistance.
No problem, that'll be $49.95, any other questions?

Fund the audits, spread the word and educate people, write your politicians and other elected officials. Stay active in the fight to save our country. Over 220 generals and admirals say we are in a fight for our survival like no other time since 1776.

Thanks BillyB for the quick reply!

The reason I wanted to go with the Silver instead of the Gold was not the money issue, but simply looking at the functionality of the site (or lack thereof) it makes you wonder if it is a scam operation.

Hi Maxx, bride.ru itself is not a scam, however many of the ladies on the site are. Not all but as in any service where the ladies are allowed to sign up for free, you will get a mix & should use due diligance accordingly.
Good luck with your search.

Some of the scammers who appear in Bride.ru site remove the profile after (I suspect) men complaining about money requests.

Very funny and  "good for education" :D
