Visa and Airline Ticket
« on: January 13, 2007, 08:18:50 PM »
Do they ask for a airline ticket  when  she goes  in  for the interview for a Visa
to visit the states  ??
She lives in Kiev
She  got a  invitation   from the American  company she works for   to visit
Las Vegas  .

I think she believes  she needs to show them the ticket .

What comes first the visa or the ticket ??

Thanks , in advance

The visa comes first.   The embassys all tell you to get the visa before you buy the ticket.

The embassy cautions you(her) not to make any changesin your situation- sell houses, buy tickets, quit jobs, etc. until after the visa is received. Having said that, it is common to have return tickets within a few days of interview in Kiev and a couple weeks of interview in Moscow.

THE visa is always first for fiancee and the reservations are usually first for tourist
