Hooked on appearance.

I've been thinking about how us Americans are so hooked on looks yet I see RW with very average looking AM and married for over 5 years.

I want to ask two questions.

The first question should read: To look ten years younger and look like Woody Allen?



I wish polls were easier to set up. It was very confusing and I wanted to scrap it and start over.

Why cant we delete our own posts here?

That because females have enough brains for not to chose future husbands by length of his legs and by color of his hair (if there is any hair on his head at all:D)

Not to start a firestorm of controversy...

But one shock that I had with dating over the past 6 years was how hung up AW's were with appearance/looks.  I always assumed that men were more concerned with appearance, but I found that the women that I dated were far more likely to be focused on physical appearance than I was.  In fact, despite what all the dating books said, I found that the number one thing that I did to improve my dating success in the US was to hit the gym and get a nice six pack.  I'm not saying that ALL AW's are like this, but many more than I thought would be...acutally are.  I guess it shouldn't be so surprising given the media in the US, but it still was disappointing.
