Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus

I would like to get some thoughts from those who are familar with the book, "Men are from Mars; Women are from Venus", by John Gray.

Do you feel the princples, theories etc. the author writes on, applies in relationships of foreign men with FSUW brides.

And congratulations on your success in finding your better halves

I think it would require a somewhat different book along the lines of "Men are from Mars., FSU women are from Eastern Venus"

Yes, but they are still women, and we are still men. So what similarities, and differences have any of you discovered with the book?

Without going into detail, I would say that FSU women dwell on some as yet undiscovered planet somewhere between Mars and Venus.

A great book if you are interested in American women, sure there are some broad generalities which are valuable but otherwise don't waste you time. Head off to Russia or Ukraine and you will know what I mean. The women in general are VERY different.

I remember mentioning this book title in an earlier thread when the topic, I think ,touched on men's appreciation of the femininity of many FSU women.  I think a few gals that posted here once in a while and many AW can not understand our manly interest in women that are attractive to us.  You know, only thinking about one thing. What they don't understand is that men are more visual than women in general, and is part of our nature. Most women think of security , love, affection, understanding,sexuality, family.  Most men think of sexuality, love, affection, family, understanding.  I use the word "most"  because , of course, this does not apply to everyone and only my two cents worth .

In terms of FSU women, not all are the same but in my opinion, I agree with Scott in Crimea, that FSU women are from eastern Venus.  Why?  altho I can't say exactly, I feel that they are more open, and understand our "visual brain" more than AW. They seem to accept our desire to be loving and intimate with them , and don't use it as a tool to control.   I am talking about a sincere relationship.  I find they love to be loved, and be affectionately treated and will return that affection. 

So, yes understanding the difference between men's and women's needs, is important as this the book points out, but the FSU women  , and especially my lovely woman, are way ahead of AW's attitude and thinking on this subject.  (dah,dah,dah)-jj

I think that the principles apply, unfortunately not all people are ready to go through all the stages.(both sides)
