The World can wait.
« on: August 23, 2007, 06:48:59 AM »

Oh man, did the reality set in this morning or what.

Are you, were you, thinking of buying train tickets today in Ukraine, reserving hotel rooms today, talking to flat owners, making plans to reserve a restaurant, reserving charter buses today, talk with agency owners, delivering letters, flowers, candy to ladies in Ukraine today, or this weekend,  FORGET IT!   The World can wait.   Ukraine is celebrating it's Independence holiday today, and oh yea tomorrow, the next day and the next day. You want anything in Ukraine?  Wait till next Monday.  Ok, go about your normal life but leave Ukraine out of it for the next four days.

Sounds like a good excuse for a piss-up, not that they need any excuses for that :)

Yeah, Ukrainians will look for any excuse to take several days off work and get enjoy their national drink.  It sure messed up my wife's travel plans, but I have to take the blame because I didn't keep up on all the holidays and plan accordingly (as if anyone could!).  So ironically she now flies in on Labor Day in the US.
