Ukraine passport

Is it true my wife and stepson will need to get new Ukraine passports?

I never even considered this but she says he is 16 and needs a new passport and maybe she needs one with her new surname.

I thought Ukraine didn't allow dual citizenship? Anyway if he's of age and enters Ukraine won't he be liable for conscription?

Have the old passports expired? Contact the Ukrainian consulate here in the states-or at least visit their webpage.
