Is it normal for Rw to go to Japan ?

I wouldn't think it's a red flag unless she's going there to work as a prostitute part time. Some RW have taken interest in other cultures. I seen thousands of profiles and I seen two RW looking for specifically Chinese men. I've seen RW using chopsticks in Asian style cafes in the FSU. My fiancee was interested in buying a Chinese style dress. Besides some RW having an interest in Asian culture, some work as translators for their companies. Tell your friend to communicate with the woman more often to find out what she's about and hopefully he could tell the difference between classy and trash talk.

Very possibly just fine. Friend of my wife (From Omsk) works in Japan periodically. (Quite high level commercial translations etc) A lady we know from Sakhalin (sp?) has friends who work in Japan and one at least is married to a Japanese guy. Not common, but not unheard of.

Simply start drilling down for details and you'll quickly get to the "Bottom or the BS" of it.
