A hearty welcome and quick bio for the newcomers:

American expat (now 46) living in Italy.  Met my wife (now 29) while travelling mid 2002 and married later that year in Russia.  Both of us had two prior marriages and neither of us were actively looking for a partner. We each brought one child into the marriage (then 18m/10f).  Our son born late 2003 put the icing on our cake.

Very happy campers.

p.s. Might be a good idea for each new/old member to start his/her own thread with nickname as subject to make it easier for others to find their bio's if interested in a little personal background info. Can always add on as events in your lives develop.  Might also be useful for recording immigration timeframes etc..  Sort of like a running personal history of your ventures.
