Interesting case! Opinions welcome....
« on: November 21, 2007, 03:13:34 AM »
Hi and hello from germany to all and everyone,
I'm really a bit staggered, I see a lot of red flags (I'm 41, averagelooking, she's a 25 y.o. doll, "the BAT!" in the header, "the" instead of "a", as soon as I told her I didn't want more children she immediately and completely dropped the family/children matter,....)
BUT, other things make me wonder...
For example, I answered her last (always lonnnnggggg) letter with a twoliner, stating that her pics are gorgeous and asking her to come over (I just wanted, without a lot of work, trigger her asking for money so I know it's a scam). Here some little excerps form her answer:

...And Thomas, in my last letter I to ask you to tell to me it is a little
about your family and your relatives. But you to not make it. But I
very much would like to find out...

...You asked me when I can
arrive I cannot now exact answer you this question at all because I am
very much borrowed on work and it seems to me we with you are poorly
familiar to meet you now. So it not seems to you?...

But then again:

....By the way I told to my friends, that i
got acquainted with you, and parents too....

Appears to me a bit strange and a very uncommon reaction, if she's a scammer. What do you guys think?

Have a nice day all

Sounds like one of those time wasters who have wonderfull photos and write long long emails.
I have had a few and some would bring the issue of money early and get exposed as a scam while with others even after several mails I did not get to know what they wanted?
Have you talked to her on phone? Is she easily accessable on the phone?

It does not sound good but then I may be wrong.

Yep, that's what I think to, but also, I may err...
Well it's still a beginning history, in my last email today I asked for her number and address, I will keep you up-to-date.

Telephone conversations will reveal more, much more.

Copy standard phrases from her emails and "google" them.  Scammers tend to repeat the same phrases with all men, and they are usually reported by someone unless you are her first victim.

Do not ask Yuri to skip from letter 3 to letter 10. That will disrupt his well-organised system and he might mix names.

As you are from Germany, logistics for a trip to the FSU are easy. Get her phone number, call and plan a trip to meet her over a long weekend. If she puts up a lot of problems ('my city is dangerous', 'better to meet in other place') drop her.
No it is not a dog. Its really how I look.  ;)

How unusual, I got a fivelines answer this time. (S)He states, that paper mail is very bad over there, to avoid giving me her address. Doesn't even mention my phone number request. Things are getting clearer now...

Gives me a very warm feeling, that I am her "My Dear" by now, jejeje...

Yep, googled (well, yahooed) mail excerps, and what do you know, Lilu is also Anastasia is also Ally is also only-god-knows-who-else.
Case cleared. Just thinking about keeping Yuri a bit busy. This one obviously mixes his standard mails with hand-written ones. Gives the victim a more familiar feeling, but will cost him more work. Well, first I'll report him to the datingsite, where he contacted me, and then think about how to make him work a bit more for me....
