Booked a trip to Kiev

I took the leap and decided to book a (refundable) ticket to Kiev for February.  I've got three women from Anastasia lined up to meet, and one from Elena's Models.  The three on A-Web were the only ones out of the hundred or so unsolicited messages I got who were willing to provide me their addresses and phone numbers right away.  One is insisting on being my tour guide for my whole trip (somehow I need to explain to her that I am meeting other women as well), and the other one said her parents won't let her come from her town to meet someone she met on an Internet dating site, so she asked me to come to her town so I could meet her parents.  Sort of scary and funny at the same time.  I guess that's what happens when you're talking up a 20 y/o still in college.  I have this vision of some brutish dad named Sergei staring me down over a dinner table. ;-)

I was thinking of maybe lining up some ladies to meet through Kiev Connections as well, but I still have some time to think about it.  It's probably going to be -20F with 2 feet of snow on the ground.  Wish me luck in staying warm.

Seems you have some plans! But why not be adventurous and go and meet the lady in her own town? You will see more of Ukraine and she will feel more at ease with you! I am of to Sumy next week, a good camel ride from Kiev! But I think the lady is worth the trip, BTW I dont speak a word of Russian! But one of the things I enjoy about this slog is the sense of adventure it also brings! Be daring!!

That does not surprise me at all.  Every woman I wrote to "keep me to herself" on every single trip I took except the last trip.  Since my trips were all WOVO, it was more entertaining than restrictive to me.

My advice would be to meet this woman first and if you're not taken with her in the first day or two then move on. My biggest mistake during my search was allowing girls like this to monopolize my time in Ukraine or Russia. It's not easy to gracefully seperate yourself from someone you're not 100% interested in (or who's not interested in you but has another agenda) but your time on the ground in Kiev is too valuable to waste. Frank, go and visit those women with a "friends only" mentality. Some of those women may want you all to themselves and may or may not have sincere intentions. You must visit all the women to make a good decision on who to come back for and develop a relationship with.

If things don't work out for you on this trip, I suggest doing business with another agency in the future. There's no doubt in my mind, some or most of the hundred or so unsolicited messages you received and paid to read was sent by agency personnel. Don't let yourself get ripped off again.

Yeah, I have realistic expectations.  I want to line up several people to meet so I don't come away feeling like the whole trip was a waste.  I'm a pretty good judge of people, so I can usually pick out the ones who don't have honest intentions. 

As to the poster who suggested I go along and meet the one woman in her town, I probably will.  I'm just a bit hesitant because I know how difficult it can be to take a train or fly within Russia due to the language.  When I was there last time, it was crazy trying to get from Moscow to Sochi.  Thankfully I had a guide who got me to the right airport and terminal.  I don't know that I'll have that in Kiev, but it might be wise to look in to.  Please God, I just don't want to fly Aeroflot again.

Good luck.  Good your going over.  I know several of the women who run sevral of the offices in Anastasia in Kiev.  If you want, send me the number of the girls and I can tell if they have true intentions.

I am happily engaged and would be married if this K-1 did not take so long (wish I did K-3 now).  So I have no interest in your girls just want to make sure you meet the 90% good girls at Anastasia and not the 10% bad.

Maybe we can meet up in Kiev as I am there about 1 week a month until my fiance gets to the USA.
