Thought I'd follow up on this story:  The lady has been to the states twice now.  Seems my friend manages to get his Ukrainian ladies visitor visas rather easily - suspect it helps that she left her kid behind waiting for her.

I never met the lady, but my wife did.

After the last trip, my friend sent her home with a Visa card to simplify covering expenses.  She and her brother spent $14,000 on it...

Friend has dropped her.  *sigh*  Hasn't talked to me much though.  He is back in Ukraine trying again.

I guess she took the lump sum payment rather than the annuity.

If she had been thinking long term, she could have gotten MUCH more!!

Not quite.. she took Sum without the Lump.
