Had an email in my box telling me to post my info- so I will. I had a question so I posted that as well. I've read these forums for a little while now after discovering them online. I was researching other countries because I had the genius idea that in addition to having a good time traveling the local women might be of interest.

I don't have big issues with AW or anything, but I am very interested in reading and learning more about FSU women. Im 24 and will be 25 later this year- so I obviously dont have to rush anything. But I was reading to pick up tips from people that have already walked the walked. I complained about AW in another post so I wont do that again here, but it is really more that I'm encouraged about what I'm reading about women from the FSU and around the world. Its not that I dont think I could make it work with an AW, but maybe I might be happier with an FSU women. Who knows I'll keep reading.

I don't have any trip plans and I am just playing it by ear right now. I havent written any FSU women so I dont have anyone's hopes up either. Personally I'd much rather just go when the time comes.

I will list some of the locations I'm kind of considering- and they arent in any order.

Sofia Bulgaria, Tallinn/ St. Petersburg, the Ukraine in general... so many cities. I might try and visit more than one city if I went the Ukraine route. Kiev would probably be the easiest, but because of that I'm sure it would be the most shopped- and probably have the most scammers.

You might consider making a holiday round trip to the FSU one time just to see the culture, and without direct meeting plans.
With your age you would not have problems to meet the local people, and in the main tourist areas there will be enough who can speak some English, although maybe less than you might expect.
If you are interested in the culture, Sofia, Talinn, St Petersburg and Kiev are all interesting to see (don't forget Moscow).
Just one minor thing... stop using 'the' with reference to Ukraine, people there do not like to be referenced in the way of the old Soviet past..

I am sure that after meeting people there and seeing the reality you will want to go back there.

I agree with Shadow.  Just take your time and spend a week or two in a city of your choice.  Get to know a little about the culture and life here.
