It would not be relevant to me if I had spent a long time with a woman (at least two years) and was sure about our future together, particularly her sense of commitment to our relationship.   

If her history somehow became known, past is past.   Besides my past is not so perfect. 

I would be upset, however, if she had a dalliance after we had expressed commitment.  If so, she would not be committed and I doubt I would be feeling commitment.   Catch 22.

You don't have to take my word for it, ask Russian women. But men take it as a given pretty much there. My personal experience (in no way an official government statistic) most men that I know in Russia who are married have at least one or more women on the side.

Most single women dating married men: 1) dated him not knowing he was married; 2) knew he was married but figured that any attention is better than no attention and figured that they might as well get what they can out of the deal; 3) actually fell in love with the married man and hoped that one day he would leave his wife for them.

What is astonishing is that a number of married women know that their husbands have mistresses on the side and tolerate it. Reasons are usually: 1) they have too much to lose economically to complain; 2) they love him and know that he will never leave her even if he has an affair or two; 3) they assume that "men will be men" and figure that he can't be blamed for his weak nature.

I can also add to that that RW seem to accept the fact that men  by nature are not monogamous much easier than AW and as long as a man shows his loyalty and commitment to their marriage she will tolerate occasional infidelity.

 #4. They are happy he has another woman to have sex with since they are sick and tired of his ass but stay for economic sake. I actually know a woman who is happy when husband has a mistress because it means she has to have sex with him less often.

 #5. She was once a mistress and she understands the game.

 #6. With it being pretty even amount of women to men, it would mean same amount of men and women (1:1)are cheating as the guy has to cheat with somebody. Otherwise a small percentage of the women who are mistresses have 5 boyfriends. If 50% of the population of married men have mistresses, then it would mean they would need 100% of the single women left over to cheat with them. Then does that mean single guys are getting no sex? I doubt it. It just means there is an awful amount of free sex going on with majority of males and females having numerous partners.( and paid as a mistress usually means you are financially taken care of)

 I think many people cheat there. men and women. The women are just smarter and more discreet. Therefore it seems the men are cheaters and the women are honest.

One of my friends from Russia is completely into older women. I can't really understand why, but he says that younger women can't offer him what he needs. To me this still seems strange but I have gotten used to this by now.
