Dating Profile Photos (Man & Woman) - 'Be Yourself' or 'Dress Up'

This is an interesting conundrum I think for most Men & Women when it comes to what pictures of themselves to put up for a dating profile whether to put up photos of themselves as they are or to dress up for the photos that they will put up.

If the Man or Woman is good looking a lot of the time they will get interest no matter what they are wearing bin bag or whatever.

For the everyday Man or Woman though the odds are that dressing up in photos will increase interest. Sometimes it may come down to whether someone thinks you are their type but often dressing up may help response rate at least, no guarantees though.

However, if you don't usually wear the stuff you dress up in is it not a bit misleading? If the dating profile viewer has bought into that as you and what you usually wear is it a bit misleading to put up what you are not?

This can be the case for women of course as well as men. On Fdate all sorts of women's profiles can be viewed, in all honesty those women that wear more feminine clothing, dresses, skirts, etc tend to usually be more enticing that those girls wearing jeans & t-shirt, or winter down jacket that tend to block the female form somewhat. Ukraine & Russia are of course cold winter countries so that sort of wear may be more usual there as a result and in the Spring & Summer some of that mentality may continue as a move to more skimpy feminine clothing may seem to be more of a leap when Winter as we know soon comes around.

So probably not many women are going to wear dresses & skirts even if their profiles show them wearing such.

Men in comparison may show themselves as wearing suits, shirts, and smart clothing but in reality may not do so perhaps moreso in their free time outside of work.

So what is the best way on this topic? Some may say to be yourself but if it doesn't garner profile views & messages then it may not be a completely good idea. Others may say best foot forward that can help profile views but may not be who they really are in terms of dress appearance, though of course potentially they can start to dress like that.
