Think your going to be disappointed.  Riga is a beautiful city and lots of attractive women......with TONS of choices.  Free movement within the EU and tons of opportunities available means very few women looking to leave.

Move there and learn the language and you'll have a chance.

Freedom of movement has its advantages, and I am sure that there are women who wish to relocate for the right guy.
After all it only takes one.  ;D
No it is not a dog. Its really how I look.  ;)

bride.ru came up with a total of ZERO profiles... so one might think the MOB business is long gone.  That doesn't mean meeting someone for a LTR isn't possible- it's just going to have to be more conventional, and that's not a bad thing!

I was in Riga early last year and even though I met a few girls (conventional means) I think it would be difficult for a lot of men.  There was a BIG aversion to foreign men, basically as a result of the Bucks Party business and poor behaviour by pommy men (boys).

I assume the OP is thinking Riga/Baltic States/EU = More simple Visa/Process/Visits but I think that could be a false economy.

This journey is high cost - financially, emotionally (at times) and in terms of time.  If you can't invest in all 3 you can't succeed.

No Joy in Latvia- I was there in 2003. The "tour" had 5 guys. A handful of interested women- all of Russian ancestries, not Latvian.  the dollar was 2 to the Lat.

The true Latvians wanted nothing to do with the Americans. "We are joining EU, we have good employment, Why would we go live in your country- to live with old men?" was what one Latvian girl told an interested suitor.

Beautiful City- lots of history.

Try Vilnius instead, or maybe not, it seems to be even harder to find girls there ;) Anyway i found one from a small town about 150 km outside Vilnius and i will visit her i two weeks.

But I think the agency scene is pretty dead in the Baltic countries today! Try Facebook or ICQ instead!

The free Russian dating sites have profiles over over 8,000 women in Riga alone.

Sorry , don't agree..

WHY?

1/ Latvia is split 70/30 overall betwen Latvians and the latest generation of ethnic Russians "planted" there by the USSR - who stayed after the USSR broke up.

2/ 40%-50%  of Riga's population is made up of ethnic Russians

3/ Many ethnic Russians FEEL Russian, don't willingly learn or speak Latvian well, and aren't full citizens of Latvia - "non -Citizens" - they DON'T have the freedom of movement you claim.

They need Visas to come to the UK and need work permits - only recently the other 25 EU countries allowed fredom of movement - as it was proved that the decrimination to these non-citizens ( who pay taxes, enjoy residency rights - but can't vote- and many of them were BORN there ! ) broke a major EU law ( Directive) that the UK and Ireland didn't sign.

4/ IF the "non-citizen" takes a citizenship test - they have to prove they know Latvian  and sign a document that is pretty anti-soviet, THEN they get an EU passport and the fabled "freedom of movement !"

5/ There is at least one agency "specialising" in women from these parts:

http://www.allbeauties.net

3 years ago I found a lady from Riga from this site and the the photos were 7 years old

May be they got more up to date now, as I visited the home page and it had changed, but my wife might wonder if I was viewing too deply to see who's still there ;)

Hope that helps..

Just curious Misha,

Which ones are you reffering to?

They all have different names, but the biggest ones are all part of the mamba.ru network.
