Shipping from Ukraine

I'm going to be moving my wife from Ukraine pretty soon. Those of you that have flown out of Boryspil have seen those folks with huge carts with everything they own in boxes cellophane wrapping around the whole thing. I have no desire to navigate through 3 or 4 airports like that. Is there anyone with experience shipping stuff out of Ukraine (out of Kharkov would be a real help)?

Contact the airline and ask their rates for accompanied air freight.

If I may impose, I would like to piggy-back on your question.  Has anyone brought out of Ukraine any family heirlooms?  My wife has an antique Samovar well over 100 years old that she wants desperately to bring to our home in Houston.  It was bought new by her great-great-grandmother long before the Revolution.  We have heard that it is quite difficult to get antiques out.  What is needed to prove that it is a family heirloom?
