Having just gone through something similar, you know,,, where they shave your groin and then poke you in the "whiskers" and run the cath up to the heart.  The doc installed two stints in one artery which prevented the need for open heart surgery later.

Offhand, I'd recommend you to consider making a trip stateside where they have the latest and greatest equipment and procedures to deal with heart problems of this sort.  Not that I don't trust Russian doctors, but I perfer to be able to discuss MY health issues in my native language.

I don't know Richard. After reading his interesting account of his hospital visit and fortunate recovery I thought two things. How effecting this forum is at conveying news about its members and how much each cares about the other. This is what a good forum is all about, in my opinion. I would have been terrified had I been in Richards' place. For me it would have been a dank hospital, 6,000 miles from home, I speak no Russian, and I don't like most of their food. As I said, I don't know you Richard but I too will offer my well wishes.

Best wishes for a quick and full recovery! Do what the doctor  says, take your meds like a good boy and don't look back too intensely.

My heart attack was in 1999, and I have had a couple of strokes since. Have lost another 12 kg this year, eat far healthier and, despite arthritis, manage to misbehave daily.
