Low Airfare to Moscow

My wife and step-daughter are flying from the East Coast to Moscow in the middle of June -
staying for 2 weeks and flying back.  Anybody have experience in this route - Washington or
JFK to Moscow and the cheapest tickets (without the 25 hr flight with layover)?  I would
appreciate any help.

Which airport in Moscow do you want to use SVO or DME ?

My wife likes DME (she says it's "modern and nice").

25hr to Moscow seems quite excessive and a long layover especially from the east coast. There are plenty of direct flights from to US straight to Moscow at a minimal expense as opposed to stopovers. Keep in mind the search engines (i.e. Cheaptickets, priceline ect.) don't always find the best route or price. I highly recommend looking at the airline sites too

check Delta site.. should have the best deals.. layover is going to be an issue though most likely
