I am recently divorced however I have been separated for 2 1/2 years.  I live in beautiful spot in the mountains in NY, I am more of a family man and looking for someone who wants to have a serious relationship.

You raise an interesting question, and the answer revolves around your definition of "successful."

A quick glance around the site will show that we have plenty of members that are married to ladies from the FSU. It is incomplete because it is VERY difficult to keep up with the new ones. Maybe one of our most endearing topics is this one - http://www.russianwomendiscussion.com/index.php?topic=1255.0, in which many of us take the opportunity to brag on our children - which is, perhaps, a more accurate measure of 'success' than merely getting married.

We do have some success stories here.  But some of us made it via trial and error.  Try to learn from our mistakes and don't repeat them.  The Ten Commandments (top left side of page) is a good start to your learning.

First stop wasting time trying to find an American woman..... just forget about them.... ok now start seriously looking for a real woman... one day maybe you say " I married the best woman in the world"... this will not be a true statement however since I married the best woman in the world but second best can't be too bad.... good luck to you.

There are a lot of stories, successful and unsuccessful. Read them all and you decide. One thing though, if your time is that limited you may wish to find something else to do with it rather than chase a woman from FSU. It takes much more time than dating locally and the land mines are more frequent and twice as big.

Welcome and good hunting

There are good women and bad women everywhere in this world. Same goes for men. Marrying a woman from any particular part of the world will not gauarantee you success. In the end it is your compatibility that matters.

All BS aside what international dating in the Former Soviet Uniion will bring you is access to younger, more attractive women then you most likely will be able to land in your own back yard.

As pointed out above it certainly isn't easier nor is it for the faint of heart. If you're still interested. Write a few letters, make a few phone calls and get on a plane within six weeks. You have your assignment, now go to work
