Buddy of mine has been sending this gal ( and hold on to your horses for this one) $1k a month for "living expenses" ( including rent). Huge age difference - like about 25 years. Hes a damn nice dude but I smell a big one. Hes trying to do the K-1 but she is now claiming that she NEVER had a birth certificate which would make it a little bit hard to get a passport, etc.  I think she is stringing him along to keep the Gravy Train rolling. What gives? Can this be possible? Like I said I smell a rat and I just hat seeing him waste his life and spend  his bread this way

Never send money!

Tell him to stop the support until the BS stops. No wait, just stop the hemmoraging...like now.

Your buddy is spoiling the woman and he should ask himself if he wants to marry a spoiled woman. If she's not sincere in marrying your friend, she's scamming him, and then she'll keep milking him. He doesn't know which woman he's dealing with. Since he doesn't know his woman, he shouldn't be marrying her. Besides sex, money clouds everything. He doesn't know if she likes him or his wallet. Too many unknowns.

I'm sure a birth certifcate could be obtained easily at a government office or the hospital she was born. Is she dumb or just not motivated to get that visa?

I don't know what to say except he should have never gotten himself in this situation to begin with. These ladies have lived all their lives themselves before they met us and they could live without us and our money if need be. If he goes after another woman, tell him to win her over with himself and not his money next time. It's more difficult to catch a woman but you filter out a lot of gold diggers because they'll get bored with you.

I do not see a scam.  I see a fool.  He is dating out of his league which is not good.  1K is not much money if there getting married for monthly support.  She will be spending a lot more per month when married. He should plan on 10 to 15K to stay married to this girl in the future plus expensive car and house and trips.  Sometimes the only way guys like this learn is an expensive divorce.  Than he can go back to dating in his league.

Hello KS5034.

Is she in Russia?

How long has he known her (Years?/Months?)??

Has your friend ever met this woman?

If he has met her, how many times and for how long?

Has he met her family?

Any other info you can give?...you know...the usual stuff.  :D

Thanks, GOB

Hes met her and been there a few times. She is a 21 year old hottie that would not look out of place in a Hawaiian Tropic Show. He is 48, very overweight and not exactly Tom Cruise but has a great job and is a super nice dude. The bread he is sending is for renting a really nice flat in town and other expenses. He has hired a "Fiancee Visa Law Firm" with offices in the US and in the FSU( Ukr). These places are also scams IMHO as the K-1 is pretty  much a DIY Visa and to me, the only reason to hire a lawyer is if you have a legal issue that requires a court appearance or some sort of advocacy, not to fill out paperwork. He has met most of her family except for ( and this is  weird) her stepfather who is purposely being kept in the dark about this ( who knows why but your imagination starts running riot here).Ive got another friend of mine  from that area( UKR) who flat out told me she would be insane to come here on the visa because, as he put it "her life is better over there".He ( the American guy) sees her 2-3 times per year and is treated like a king ( he had better be) and spends time online with her. He met her through some agency there  (uadreams) . My guess is that shell string him along until he wises up ( or runs out of money) and then dump him.

Uadreams is a scam agency. It use to be Confidential Connections. Google it if you need to.

Talk him out of this scam. What's the reason to support someone that's using him and supporting bad behavior? Tell him to turn off the money and see if she turns off her love. If she's smart and in love, she knows the money that he doesn't send will be waiting for her when they are together. She has a nice comfortable place to live so she doesn't need to move or need one man to support her in a marraige. She has plenty of men already sending her money now and taking advantage of the body God gave her. Since she's good looking she has no problem separating men, except the smart men, from their wallet.

FWIW, this woman is an agency girl and she knows the routine and probably knows about he k-1 process more that your friend does. If she really wanted to be with a foreign man, the important documents would be accountable and ready to submit.

Too late. I "sent" him to you guys months ago( emailing the links) but I guess he hasn't read anything or hasn't paid attention. I'm afraid he is gonna have to learn the hard way but I seriously doubt if he will ever get married , just be a very expensive dump.

Here's my prediction: She will tell him that she could get a new birth certificate from the government to give him hope but it will take a year to process because the government is slow. After a year and many months of financial support your friend will grow tired of waiting for the birth certificate which is way past due and tell his fiancee that maybe they should break up. She will tell him the good news! After she makes some phone calls to the appropriate office, the birth certificate is two months away from arriving. She will have tears of joy when speaking to him how much she wants to be with him and how much he gets her horny.
A few weeks later she has an catastrophic event in her life which is easily solved with a large sum of money. Your friend will pay anything to prove to his future wife he's dependable and she can count on him. Soon after she receives the birth certificate and it's time for celebration! But one small problem. The birth certificate isn't correct and she must apply again and they must wait another year for the correct birth certificate to get processed.
I can't make a prediction further than this without reading your friend's palm and hooking up a bunch of wires to him to get a good read on his mentality. Maybe he'll wake up or maybe he's in it for another round of BS.

What Daveman said.

It never occurred to me at any point that this situation could be legit.  Maybe your friend needs an intervention.

I don't usually recommend people hiring a private detective on their fiancee but I can't take the insanity anymore!

Kraft, if your buddy can hire an attorney for the k-1 and pay $1000/month, then he can afford a detective who is the most respected in this endeavor. Elena Garrett is  cheaper than what's happening to your buddy and I'm certain it'll be the smartest money he's spent so far in the FSU.

I think he should hire russiandetective.com to get the dirt on her. But he probably wouldn't listen. He's living a phantasy and sure as hell doesn't want it to stop.

As his friend you should do it for him. It's his life to screw up but I'll tell you this: if my best best friend would have tied me up and kept me from marrying my ex I would have thanked him the very next day.

You're his friend, you need to intervene.

after gathering the dirt.. he should have her taught a lesson.

I rarely advise either course of action.  But in this case...

however.. before we get real mean...

lets look at an alternative explanation shall we?  I am wearing my bullet proof vest so if this is too far out..

Lets say this arrangement is with the full knowledge of both parties, or, she understands it but he might not.  She, is in fact providing him a "service".  She keeps him company in chats, I am guessing for hours at a time.  She provides him with her warm body when goes to visit.  A true escort of medium to high quality could charge $500 an all night "pop" which at his current rate of expenditure gives him 24 "pops" a year.  2-3 visits?  Everything is ready for him when he arrives.. no need for additional housing expense.. just the plane ticket and food that he would have spent money on anyway.. so.. the question is.. is he getting his 24 "pops" a year.  I think he might be getting a bargain, especially if multiple "pops" are included and she cuddles.

Now, is he understanding that is the deal?  Or, is he naive and think the girl is really into him?  And, what about that .0001% chance that she really does love him?

If he loves her, he needs to verify verify verify what the heck is going on.  If he does not love her.. and can afford his "pet"...

Hhhmmm, of course the other perspective is Spitzer would think he's getting a great deal. So, keeping it in that format, I don't believe the dude cares if she's a scammer.

If she does make it here on a K-1, he even gets her relatively 'cheaper' 3 months straight.

Ask him if he's thinking of getting married in Nevada and surprising her with a pre-nup by the 29th day of her arrival. Just out of curiosity.
