Guess you found this place a bit too late. for $50 the taxi will drive you around all day. 

I remember an old Russian joke - some tourist calls the radio station in Moscow and says:  "I'd like to send my Thanks to the  wonderful taxi driver who drove me today from Kazanskii to Yaroslavskii train station in only 2 hours and I was able to get to my train in time!"

Thanks for sharing.  My degree of confidence has gone from 90% to 100% that she is a pro dater.

In recounting your story, you asked them questions about whether this was a pro dater scheme.   You knew it yet you consciously dismissed it.  Next time take charge of what you do, and if something is questionable be more determined with learning the truth.   

Don't be too hard on yourself.  A pretty girl can play a man.  It happens all the time.  Now you know and will be more careful next time.

Some early signs that you need to be aware of next time you go to the FSU:

1.  Fancy restaurant on the first night.  Some honest RW will test a man if he can afford such, yet most sincere RW tend to go to a simple place.  They have been "coached" not to be expensive with foreign men at first.

2.  No kissing.  This happens early if the RW likes you (or does not have a UM boyfriend).  Duh!

3.  Series of schemes to separate you from your money (adding telephone time, melodrama with her father, yacht charter, etc.)

Well, looking back neither can I. All I can say is the brain must of been disengaged during my entire visit.

In all you got off pretty cheap. At least you were aware of the warning bells even if you ignored most of them. I am sure we all appreciate your candor in post what has happened to you. While it is an all too familiar tale it is one that deserves being repeated so that maybe the next guy learn from your lessons. Glad to have you hear and hope you stick around for a while and have a wonderful success story to tell later!
