What percentage of RW's under 40 smoke cigarettes?

Congrats to both you AND belatedly to NJ... boy does this above sound familiar... I even tried the hypnosis thing too.. yeah, what a joke.. that time I stopped for 5 years, it was exactly as you described.. for some reason I just got tired of it at that time and it was easy to put 'em down... too easy in fact, which is probably one reason why I thought I'd never really start back if I "only had one". 

Ah, but that's the thing with "only one won't hurt" and I knew that if I gave in to that little voice pleading that "one won't hurt" I would be smoking and back to square one again. So no, never again for me, not even one; I quite like being able to use my lungs now which helps with the mountain biking my wife and I have been enjoying 4 times a week for the past few months.

Mars, I also met guys that are absolutely untolerant to smoking on dating sites. If using a common sense would be just enough to quit right away, almost no one would be smoking. I guess you were never depanding on cigarettes But I believe that anyone has a right to set their preferences about smoking habbits of a future partner, as well as about weight, age, and gender 

Daveman: about this book: I have no idea how it works but it does. It's not a hypnosis, it doesn't suggest any substitutes, it just explains you everything (without using all this information that you will die soon if you don't quit). Oh and something that will make you not scared of reading it: you should smoke all the way reading it just as you usually do. If it works you quit when you are done with the book, if don't - you just keep smoking. Nothing lost.

Russian factories smoke LESS than the average young Russian woman. Honestly its at least 50%. Russians in general just do not worry about their health, they live in the moment. I got a bit of a rude shock when I met my L in Moscow. She told me beforehand that she smoked socially (clubs, parties, etc.) but I soon found out after we met that that was a little white lie. We were having our first meal together and she says "I have many plusses and only 1 minus..." then she pulls out the pack and lights up. I gritted my teeth...I hate smoking!! She knows that if she wants to be with me she's going to have to quit.

I've been to more areas of the FSU than almost anybody here so I hope I have a qualified answer for you:  about 1/3.  I'd say probably 90% of them did at some point in their lives though.
