Thank you, Utro   and Karl - Congrats! It really is uplifting to get past that interview - which she will.

We applied for her American passport last week...

On the citizenship document check list .."1.D. Although not required, it is recommended that you bring two additional passport-style photos 2"x2" etc..."
What would that be for..her new passport? or does that answer my own question?
Did anyone else get those done [just in case?]
We go out to the Campus Circle office in Irving on Tuesday.

Karl - I didn't realize the 2 photos were optional. Whatever - they keep one in a permanent file
while the other is affixed to a Naturalization document - an 8 X 10 ID so to speak...

Her USA passport arrived today - 22 days after application at the post office downtown.

Congratulations from another new all American family to yours!

No more forms, fees, fingerprints and trips to USCIS's offices.

Today my wife and daughter raised their right hands and took the oath along with
120 others from 41 nations. I must say I was hard pressed to recall a more patriotic
group of people than this one. They were cheering. And I was reminded how the
USA, while the target of much criticism here and abroad - is still, IMHO, the greatest
country on Earth.

Congratulations Vaughn and Catz.

I hate to say this but I saw an article written by an immigration lawyer with a heading like "don't think you are through with immigration when your spouse becomes a US citizen."

I am hoping this was a joke.

Svetlana had her interview this past Tuesday.
She was the last interview of the day.
We are waiting for her letter to come take the pledge and receive her naturalization certificate.

Thanks much SoC! Hope you all are doing well and things are going smoothly!

Elena got her passport a few days ago in one mail, her Citizenship paper back on another day, and her passport card a few days later. We were beginning to wonder where it was. Took about 5 weeks. Next step is sending everything back to them to get our son his passport.

Overall things are going well here. Elena started a new job a few weeks ago. 3 - 11 shift which means we see a lot less of each other but that is what it is.

Hope things are going well for "most" of you (you know who you are)... :)

Congrats, Catzenmouse!  That is great news.  We can't wait to get that blue passport for my wife.

Our daughter already has hers, and we are all bound for Ukraine this summer :-)

But our side trip to Italy requires a visa for the wife.

Hey, the lakes must be thawing in ForeverWinterLand! Soon you will be swimming :-)

Ken,

Congratulations!

It sounds like everything is wonderful and your theory that "she is always correct" is working well.   :)
